Bridges are fixed restorations used to replace missing teeth. We offer conventional fixed bridges, cantilever bridges and resin-bonded bridges.
Conventional and cantilever bridges are held in place by crowns on teeth adjacent to the space/missing teeth. The adjacent teeth require considerable shaping for placement of crowns. The laboratory makes the crowns which are placed on the shaped teeth and are attached to artificial teeth replacing the missing teeth.
Resin bonded bridges are a fixed replacement for missing teeth held in place by wings bonded to the back of adjacent teeth. They require minimal preparation being more conservative and restoring a natural appearance. They are usually used to replace front teeth, provided the gums are healthy and the surrounding teeth are not heavily restored.
